Works in collections – National and University Library, (print collection) Zagreb, Croatia; the Institute for Contemporary Art, Dunaujvaros, Hungary; the International Museum of Woman, San Francisco, the USA; the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Rijeka, Croatia.
For a long time now, I work as a multimedia artist. My means of expression are primary installations, video and video performances through which I question the other side of life as well as unconscious reactions, the ways we are shaped by culture, tradition, education, and above all, mass media. I am interested in the relationships among people and the ways people perceive their bodies and themselves… What I really hope to do with my work is to stimulate people to be more conscious and to start thinking.
Together with artistic activity, I work as art pedagogue with all age groups, but primary with high school children and students.
That has stimulated me to consider immediate environment and to move focus from my own art to life itself- to attempt to at least partly solve some general social and educational problems and to stimulate the public and people in charge to take a further concern on the issues. Consequently, in the last few years, I work on community art and artistic- educational projects. Since we are all aware of the impossibility of art in solving major social issues, I try to act like a virus in the system and at least occasionally influence the consciousness and actions of those in power.
